We understand that being diagnosed with skin cancer can be a frightening and confronting time.
We strive to provide support, knowledge, advice and a superior level of care to all of our patients during this challenging period.

Once diagnosed, the vast majority of skin cancers simply require removal or excision.  This is done using local anesthetic followed by cutting the skin around the cancer. Most excisions are quick and straightforward. A few stitches are placed in the skin and removed a week or two later.  In most cases, this procedure is curative and no further action is required. To ensure the cancer has been completely and successfully removed, it is sometimes necessary to excise a further piece of skin. To establish the extraction of the entire cancerous area, all specimens taken at our clinics are sent away for pathology examination.

For melanomas, the key to cure is early diagnosis with excision being the only treatment. To proceed with excision for melanomas, diagnosis must be carried out as early as possible and within a sufficient margin.
